Temp worker parents, especially single mothers, leave our kids in child care, park district and other facilities-essentially defeating the purpose of closing schools. Temps must punch in and out with our fingerprints, meaning everyone shares their germs with each other as we all swipe our fingers on the biotouch time clock scanners. Temps are working in crowded factory lines, shoulder-to-shoulder-not 6 feet apart from each other as recommended by public health officials. We also produce the cardboard, plastic, foam and aluminum packaging as well as print the labels for these products.ĭespite the critical nature of our work, our employers are not respecting your guidelines. We are proud to produce, assemble, pack, and ship items such as hand sanitizers, disinfectants, antiviral soaps, bottled water, medical personal protective equipment (ppe), medicines, food products/ingredients and many other products we all need to survive.
